Hello!  My name is Angelo Sasha.


Dear Diary,

Angelo: I started life in the early 1970s as Gregor Sport by Sasha Morgenthaler. From that time until I came to live with my papa, Jesse, in 2000 when he purchased me from Nancy at “Let's Play Dolls”, I spent my entire life in my original box.   


 From the minute Papa opened the box, I have always been his favourite doll. Over the past 16 years we have had many adventures together. At one time, before FaceBook, I had my own PictureTrail called Angelo's World where I shared my life with people. That site has been closed for a long time now.  But, it was lots of fun and we've decided to do a modern blog.

My papa loves me dearly and tells me that I have a face everyone can relate to, no matter the age, race or gender. He says that's the special charisma my grandmother Sasha M gave to me.    

I'm glad for this gift.

Dear Diary, Jesse :   About 25 years ago, in the age of paper books, I read a story about a famous woman and her boy doll.  I was totally taken with the story and I never forgot it.  In fact, it was to have a huge influence on my doll play and collecting. Berets for days

Dear Diary, I wear a beret because mein Vati wears one. Well, he has more than one: French, Basque, Italian, Spanish, Czech/Slovak.  The are all pretty much the same, some are smaller than others or are made of thicker fulled (felted) wool.  Berets are traditionally black but they do appear in colours from time to time.  Archeology has shown that hats similar to the beret were worn in the Bronze Age.  What we know today as the "French" and "Spanish" beret come from the south of France in the province of Béarn and the Basque country in Spain. Dear Diary, I found this young man, Raymond, a doll collector in Hawai'i.  He has a big collection of modern dolls to show us. I think he is a good role model for other young lads who are interested in dolls. He certainly is proud of his collection. I never knew about all these different modern dolls!
